La Fábrica is unveiling a new publishing project called 64P. It is a collection of photo essays in which major international photographers present heretofore unpublished projects assembled just for this collection.
The first volumen of this new collection is Lilith, by Antoine d´Agata.
In this book he portrays his relationship with a young Cambodian woman who is addicted to methamphetamine and has worked as a prostitute since she was 12. In this relationship, Lilith the woman harks back to Lilith the myth, Adam’s first wife prior to Eve, a female demon who sexually dominates men and was made in the image and likeness of the deity, not to serve man but to be his equal.
The book re-creates three encounters between the photographer and his model, in January 2008, June 2008 and January 2016, in a sequence which simultaneously re-creates the phases of the rush, the binge and the crash which methamphetamine addicts experience when they take the drug.
