Starting from the work that challenged all boundaries of graphic journalism, we are presenting More Real than Reality, a monographic exhibition of photographer W. Eugene Smith’s work. Being the creator of the Photographic Essay, his work underlines many aspects, shades of reality that are frequently ignored, sometimes forgotten, by a passionate and critical look that reaches the very soul of spectators.
The exhibition pays homage to the overall trajectory of this artist, focusing in 6 of his most significant essays, along with presenting some fragments of his other memorable photographic series. Besides, some archive material from the artist himself, is shown, coming from the Center for Creative Photography in Arizona.
