Ricky Dávila (Bilbao, 1964) studied Biology at the Universidad del País Vasco, and graduated from New York’s ICP (International Center of Photography) in 1990. During the 1990s he developed his work in the field of reporting. Member of the Cover agency and contributor to El País and other publications, he publishes his work both in and outside Spain, and has received awards such as the Fotopres, World Press Photo and Ortega y Gasset. Over the last decade, his work has shifted to the area of photo books and exhibitions. He is the author of five books and over twenty individual exhibitions. He currently runs the Centro de Fotografía Contemporánea of Bilbao.
